To improve support, find a bench with a low back-rest (as found on some shoulder press benches) or use a preacher bench!

Step 1

Sit on bench with back straight.
Hold the dumbell with both hands, place it behind the head, palms facing up.

 

 

 


 
Step 2

Extend arms, keeping back straight.
Pause, then lower back to start positon.
