Week 5 - Weigh In and Elimination Minimize

The Weigh In
Week 5 comes to a close and everyone knows the importance of the last chance work out before the weigh in. This is a particularly difficult, up hill task for the black team. Not only will they have to make up the 4 lbs lost
from their defeat in the challenge, but they also failed the temptation this week. They played a game called
battlechips, against their rivals. It was purely a game of chance but ladyluck wasn`t on their side. Second place meant no training session with Angie but, worse still, they had to consume all the chips (or crisps), a total of 1000 cals. So their disadvantage was threefold.

The blue teams total was 1st  4lbs -  1.54%
A defeat for the black team!
Some very disappointing results this week. Just what do they have to do to get those lbs melting away?

The Black Team have to say goodbye to a member of their group, but first each of them pleads for survival.
They will have betrayed one of their own by the next instalment. KEEP WATCHING TO FIND OUT WHO GOES!

Elimination
At the end of wk5, the black team were undecided about who to lose from their team after their defeat at the
wegh in. A tie in their vote resulted in the final say going to the blue team. Unfortunately, Dave had had a poor week,
shedding only 2lbs from his 21.5 st. starting weight. Could it mean that wk6 would have seen a much improved result
from him? So, tactically, he was the favourite choice of the blues. Maybe the girls Michaela and Katey, were getting
their own back for his unkind comments earlier in the week. I`m sure you`ll do fine on your own Dave. Good luck!

Big Surprise For The Biggest Losers
Now into wk6, the competition is hotting up as the final weeks of series7 are rapidly closing in. The blue team are in
pretty bad shape! Mark still has a rib injury; Jamie`s on crutches; Katey has a painful neck and Michaela is on
light duties. How on earth are they going to pull this out of the bag?  Ah, you might think! Not a chance. But you`d
be wrong. Richard has a big surprise up his sleeve. A new team mate; well, not exactly new, is joining them. Its Lisa
from the red team!
Everyone gets wind of the return of one of the original Biggest Losers. There`s much speculation about who it could
be. Kevin is not sure its a good idea. There`s scepticism on both sides as everyone feels nervous, not least of all,
Lisa. How would people react to her being given a second chance? Would the green-eyed monster rear its ugly head or
would she be welcomed with open arms?
As she waits tentatively, in the gym, the door bursts open and she is confronted by an excited welcoming commitee.

Team Games
Lisa was assigned to the blues and they all got down to the serious business of exercise. With Angie joining the
black team, to make the sides equal, they got stuck into a strenuous game of volley ball which took its toll on each
and everyone of them.
But what`s this? Suddenly, the crutch-weilding Jamie, casts off his supports and struts his stuff like a "gud un".
Seems dodge-ball is the latest breakthrough as a cure for ankle injury. Michaela recommends it but the benefits have
yet to be proven!
The name of the game was, "last man standing". It speaks for itself really but for those of you not so sure:- the last
person to be hit by the ball thrown by the other team takes a point for their own team.
The blue team comes out in top by  7-2
Lisa has had a positive influence on the blues and they respond to her bubbly character. The other team are worried.
No-one knows how well she`s been doing on the "outside".

Training
Richard hots it up for the blues in the gym with a thorough workout for all. Once again, Lisa proves her determination to
take advantage of the second chance she`s been given. Confidence abounds within her group.
Angie works her team equally as hard and gives them a pep talk to boost their morale. At the end of the week the weigh
in will answer all the questions.
Watch for Jamie coming up on the outside! I just have a feeling.

Strictly A Surprise
On a lighter note - the losers were given a real treat. It still involved working them to a frazzle but in a much more
refined fashion. They were given smart clothes to dress up in and the girls got glamourous in make-up and hair adornments. Hardly recogniseable compared to their usual attire.
Vincent and Flavia, from Strictly Come Dancing, UK Ballroom and Argentinian Tango Champions, were going to teach them how to jive.
The teams were paired, with Richard making the numbers up and being grabbed by Lisa. She`s not daft picking the fittest bloke. Its amazing how you can work up a sweat learning how to dance, especially the jive. Believe me I`ve tried it. A great way to keep fit!
The dance champions awarded points to each pair for their overall ability and flair.
