Down on the Farm - Grindle Farm

The next challenge was about to test one of the intrepid heroes to the limit. Could this be the end of the road on Biggest Loser for someone?? Not knowing where they were heading our losers boarded the bus which was to take them to the scene of their next challenge - "The Farm".

The Challenge - Part 1

One from each pair was given a wheelbarrow which was placed at the end of an extremely long row of rotting strawberry punnets and entangled weeds. The idea was to fill their own barrow with the stuff and empty into compost bins at the end of the rows. The first to clear their row would be half way to having a 3 lbs taken off the combined weight of themselves and their partner at the weigh in - a coveted prize indeed, the battle was on.
Sweating, swearing and stamina prove to be the main ingredients of this challenge with odd dollop of mud thrown in.
David and Mark went head to head both determined to be the vistor. After a long hard struggle Mark pipped Dave to the post by a narrow margin. The girls were fighting with every ounce of strength they could muster to get to the end but Michaela found it impossible and as her back gave up she leaned on her barrow for support. Her team mates here shouting encouragement but suddenly she slumped to the ground. The pain was too much and she passed out. What drama! but don't worry she made a full recovery and was back with her counterparts for the start of part 2.

The Challenge - Part 2

The other half of the pairs took up their positions for the part of the task.
Each had a stack of hay bales which they had to carry across the yard and load onto a lorry. The first to clear their stack and cross the finishing line would win. Once again the competition was fierce with Kevin and Jamie being the main players. At one point Jamie tried to pick up two bales but he was soon stopped and in the end Kevin was victorious.

The overall winners were the Btown Team - Mark and Kevin and so have three lbs grace for the all important weigh-in.

As the teams build up to face the weigh-in at the end of week 4 will the competitiveness of some of the individuals in more than friendly rivalry. Look out for Jamie and Mark or Mark and Kevin.
