Biggest Loser UK Series 3 - Week 6 Challenges Minimize

This weeks challenge, which is in two parts, is all-important for the two teams. Morale is pretty low in the black team after losing Dave, and the blues have mixed feelings about Lisa`s return. Its vital that each group works as a team if they are to stand a chance of coming out victorious.

On arriving at the site of the challenge, the losers find themselves miniaturised by a climbing wall looming over them. At the top of the wall there are 5 flags, each of which is worth 2 minutes to take into the second part of the challenge. There is, however, a weight restriction of 21 stone, so only Katey and Michaela can take part for the blues. All the blacks are within the restriction. Each team has its own wall and they will not be able to see their rivals.
Although Michaela is petrified of heights, she volunteered to climb. She tried hard but her fear was too great and with cries of, "I dont like it", she froze. (I`m with you girl). No flags for the the blue team then! Kevin was the hero for the black team, retrieving 3 flags, to give them 6 minutes to take forward. He didn`t do it without a struggle though, but Carol`s encouragement and instructions helped him to face his fears. Well done Kev!

More Heights
To build a tower with crates, was the second part of the challenge. The blues were given 15 minutes to make their structure, but the blacks had an extra 6 minutes from part one, giving them 21 minutes altogether. Who would achieve the tallest tower? Maria and Carol were harnessed, along with Michaela and Katey. The teams performed their tasks separately, with each unaware of the success (or not) they`d had in part one. Angie`s team were just that, a team, and worked well together. Richard`s lot were under the command of Mark who, eventually, realised his method wasn`t working and so, much to Lisa`s delight, he resorted to her suggestions. Oh dear! These two do seem to be at loggerheads. Amazingly, after all the confusion, the blue team managed the same number of crates in 15 mins as the black team in 21 mins;- 20 each. How did that happen? Because it was a tie there had to be a re-match. Carol put herself forward for the black team and Michaela for the blues. Carol was triumphant, building 20 crates to Michaela`s 18. The reward for team black is, to exclude the weight loss of the worst member of their team at the weigh in.

Biggest Loser 2005
Aaron Howlett, who was successful as the biggest loser in 2005, paid a visit to the house to give everyone a morale boost. Four years down the line, he is a personal fitness trainer, and has run 4 marathons. He tells them that they have
been given a golden ticket oppurtunity to change their lives forever, and should make the most of it. He later took them for a training session which they all thoroughly enjoyed. Truly inspirational!

Temptation
Congratulations to each and every one of these determined characters for not giving in to temptation this week. They were promised messages from loved ones if they ate a bowl of sweet treats. Although it was difficult, and the tears were
flowing, they stubbornly refused to give in. Their strength and willpower paid off and they were rewarded with their messages anyway. Well deserved!
