    The Biggest Loser Competition Rules!

We'll be starting the competition when the show starts but I thought I'd start posting some rules just to make it fair.

    1. A before photo must be submitted. In it you must be holding a major newspaper (so we can see the front page) so we know the date the picture was taken.

    2. You must post weekly weigh-ins.

    3. You must post Hip and Waist measurements

    4. You must post a short term exercise goal, and a short term diet goal. These goals must be specific and attainable. An example of the exercise goal may be: To walk 30 minutes every day for the next 2 weeks. An example of a diet goal may be: To totally eliminate chocolate from my diet for 2 weeks.

It's easier to stick to something when its for a shorter period, and what most people find is that once the first 2 weeks are done the rest of the time is easy!

    to be cont'd

I'll also add some tools. Use these to help get the winning edge:

    1. Home Fitness Assessment - This will give you a truer indication of how you're going than the scales. Use this right from the beginning and you won't get down if the scales aren't moving!

    2. Set Some Goals - (Read this one as well) You can't reach your destination without a detailed plan!

Re: The Biggest Loser Competition Rules!

So we will post the pics in the pictures section? Should we link it to any particular thread?

Re: The Biggest Loser Competition Rules!

I'll set up a specific photos section for it. Once it's in there you can link to it from whichever thread you all like. I'd say your journal would be a good start

Now, this may be a stupid question, but what is the dress code for the photo's? i.e. Is it ok to wear shorts and a sports bra like they do on BL? Or do we have need to have more layers?

Obviously we would be able to see the changes more if you're not wearing as much, but that is totally up to you!

Re: The Biggest Loser Competition Rules!

I can't wait - I had been thinking of trying to lose weight with the show and now it is great to know there are all you guys out there taking part in this comp.  I have lost 14kg over the past 12 months, but  need to get back on track and achieve my goal weight of 70kgs. SW: 126kg  CW:112kg so I have alot to lose:)

My diet goal is to give up late night snacking.

My exercise goal is to visit the gym three times per week.

Good Luck all you "Losers" (losers of weight that is:)

Re: The Biggest Loser Competition Rules!

Yes you can definitely be in it. I pretty sure that the winner will be judged on % of weight lost.

Sorry no credit notes for weight already lost.

I've been sneaky, cramming the pasta in before the official weigh in - LOL

It's an old world out there and I'm glad I was part of it!
