Hey, hoping to save myself before it's to late

Hi my name is Terri and I'm here hoping I can change things before they get worse. Only a yr ago I was only 105....now I'm 139 and doc says I'm at a high risk of diabets if I let things get bad....and I'm TERRIFIED of needles so...here goes nothin right? I do know that part of my problem is, I had a baby about 4 months ago...I have lost a TON of weight that I had from that (exactly 46.7 lb)...but I dont want diabetes and I know how easy it is to loose yourself fast. I cant seem to get the last 19 lbs off though....doc says for my highth and everything I should be no more than 120....grr. So here I am asking for help to keep me motivated to get this off....I also would love to help others get to there goals! I'm a caregiver and I truly love helping people, so maybe if I can help you, it will in turn help me...I dont know...worth a try right?

    Sincerely,

Re: Hey, hoping to save myself before it's to late

    Hi All,

I'm also a young little newbie who's looking to lose weight and become happier with myself. My name is Sarah, 20, filmmaker/student.. i have thyroid complications that also play a part in my weight issues. I've lost weight in the past, however i did so in a very undesireable way and do not wish to do it again.

Anyway, just thought i would say hi and i hope this site and all of its members can help encourage and motivate me to complete the goal that i have had most of my life.

     Thanks everyone.

     Sarah :)

Hi guys, and welcome to the site!

The best advice I can give to start with is to start a Progress Journal and detail everything you're doing, from what you eat, to the exercise you are doing. From there we can give more specific advice.

thanks for the reply, maybe we can keep each other motivated! I'm 19, and my goal is to loose at least 5 lbs before Christmas (starting small :P). Plus since it seams to be a big hasle to loose any right now...better not poosh to hard else I'll end up hurting myself and in the hospital for the 4th time this yr.

Sorry to hear (read) about yout thyroid complications! Hopefully it will get better! Good luck! If you ever feel down or anything just give me a buzz! I'm normally online when I'm at work so.

    Good luck Sarah!
