After effects of the flu.. slight vaginal spotting

I have just gotten over the worst of my 1st flu... and it was awful. I was sick and virtually bedridden for over a week. I am over the virus now but have some secondary infections which I am on antibiotics now for. My concern is though that today (day 9 after 1st flu symptoms) I started to spot lightly (its very bright red). I am only 2 weeks into my cycle (day 14) and I am very very regular with my cycle.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Could it be from having a lot of painkillers? I had a very high temp and migraines for about 5 days, was on a lot of cold and flu tabs, some nurofen and later also aspro clear. I also am athsmatic and my lungs clogged terribly, so I had 3 days on an oral lung steroid to clear them.

Any advice would be much appreciated, am getting quite worried about it I have never had spotting before like this. And no, I am definately not pregnant.

Apologies, thought that was what this was for, and based on many other topics I was definately lead to believe differently.

    Thanks anyway.

Can't possibly see how you might be led to believe differently, as it's a website based around exercise and nutrition.
Where specifically medical questions such as yours are asked, it would not be legal for this site to make any assessment or judgement, hence referring you back to your doctor. That is the appropriate course of action in this instance.

You're right. It is difficult to get solution to such problems, if we are not an expert. Any wrong information can work adversely for the person in concern....A risk not worthy of taking... Sad
