Can health food sold from a YoNaturals Vending Machine in a School help curb childhood obesity?

I recently saw a vending company offering Healthy items from its vending machines. The YoNaturals business claims it sells natural and organic product in its healthy vending machines with most machines being placed in Schools. My question is whether or not this approach is enough to help curb chilhood obesity? I believe if done properly it is certainly a step in the right direction...!

My opinion is that kids generally have good health.

So ‘healthy’ is not a selling point for them.

The issue that it seems most nutritionists and chefs seemed to have missed completely and so have failed in any mission for healthy food is that.

As soon as they can make healthy food more enjoyable and easy everybody will be eating it.

But they will be eating it because it is more enjoyable and easy not because it is healthy.

Also the ‘health’ benefit of foods is so poorly regulated and abused by the food industry that it has no credibility.

If you can make a cheaper and nicer meal than McDonalds you may send them broke if it is healthy this will just be a secondary issue.

However you are more likely to just make McDonalds lift their game.

I'm notsure it's the nutritionists and chefs, I think it's more the parents. I can't thnk of anything better than home made meal made from fresh ingredients.

My thoughts were junk food is not particularly tasty but people still eat it.

If someone can come up with a better product people will purchase the better product it our instant gratification world people don’t seem to look past the two hour consequences.

So the taste great now will always win over a subtle benefit in 3 to 300 months.

As a parent it is exasperating to have a child that given a reasonable lunch just won’t eat it.

If my son requested a healthy lunch and would eat it I would be delighted to give it to him.

Also remember the schools don’t provide refrigeration so this instantly removes a lot of fresh foods.
