    The New Me

I've just got in the door after the long drive back from Melbourne. Adro had his first intake into The New Me, with 5 women and 1 man taking the plunge. I arrived on the Thursday and they really weren't looking forward to my first session, they were quite scared of what I would do and say to them. I can't say that attitude really changed too much over the time I was there, but they certainly showed plenty of respect. They always did everything I told them and never quit even when they were doubting their own ability to continue. For my final session I gave them the choice on whether they wanted to do it and they were all unanimous in joining in, and putting in!

These are all overweight (mostly morbidly obese) and unfit people so the attitude was very impressive.

Anyway, after their first 6 day in the house they had their first weigh in on Sunday and each achieved great success with the average weigh loss being approx 6kg.

I can't wait to see where they are when they leave. I'll keep you all updated!

    Ray

    Re: The New Me

How long do clients spend there, and do you sign up in week/fortnight/etc blocks? Do they live in, White House style while they are doing the program, or do they come & go? Alison

    Re: The New Me

You book in 1 week blocks and you stay on the premises

Currently, 2 people are there for 2 weeks, 2 for 6 weeks, and 2 for 12 weeks.

Oooh, how good would that be??? I'd love to go somewhere for about 6 weeks and solely concentrate on my health, eating habits and fitness! Good luck to those people who have committed, I hope they do exceptionally well! Alison

Yes, I am sure they will do well! Alison, you should go check it out! It has a really good feel to it. And it should be safe to visit, now that RayDevil3 has returned to HIS stomping ground...................

    Re: The New Me

LOL! He really wasn't THAT scary................... Actually, one thing I really liked about Raymond (polish that halo, Ray!) was that he is encouraging, but not in a way that makes you think, "Oh, good, I have done Ok, time to stop", more in a "Oh Cool! Let's listen and do more!" kind of way. LOL! I was very surprised to find myself feeling that way. If he comes down again, we will HAVE to get our collective Melbourne butts into gear and do a group session.

Free bit of advice: Rays scariness is directly proportional to the number of sessions you've had with him divided by the number of beers you've supplied to him.

It's an old world out there and I'm glad I was part of it!

    ray is not scary.
he is a beautiful gentle human being who occasionally makes you hurt and sweat and take his name in vain, but truly deep down is doing the very thing you need him to do.
i can't begin to tell you how lovely it was to see ray & carol & baby jess last week. it made my day!!!!

    Re: The New Me

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Jane - I believed in your ability to reach your goals before I'd met you in person, and that has only been reinforced since our session together. Don't sell yourself short. You know what you need to do so get and do it!

Kaz - We had a great time there too. How funny was Jess when she realised that if she walked close to the neighbours fence she could magically make the dogs next door bark. She'd walk up close, make them bark, then move away until they stopped, then move back in again. She was so impressed she dragged each of us around there to show us!

Alison - Next time, and we'll see what you've got! Whip

AK - You have worked out the formula!

    Ray

    Re: The New Me

Oh Ray, no need to be so nice, I have already given you the beer................... ;) Thank you. Now, if I could just get my head screwed on right!!

How funny was Jess? I had forgotten that side of little people! But I think it was her butt that won me over more than her dog whispering!

    Re: The New Me

    sounds like a great place.

are there any photos online of what the place looks like? and all the facilities? so from what you said Ray at some stages you could actually be there on your own with a personal trainer twice a day

hell give me a free weeks stay and ill take publicity shots for you for advertising and commercial use :)
