    BL First Episode

    Did anyone watch it?

I thought it looked quite good. Some real characters in there!

It was good that they didn't do the big gourging of food too

Yes, I enjoyed the pace of it, it wasn't drawn out in politics, it stuck to the action while still managing to introduce the characters.

Ray, how on earth did they lose 20-30lbs in one week?  Was it a tv week (ie, 10 days) or did they actually do they gratuitous fat people binge eating ceremony but not show it.  Seems hard to believe that extreme weight loss....

    SW: Aug08 - 103.8kgs
    CW: 95.8kgs (lost 8kgs)
    GW: 79kgs by Mar09

I wasn't there (obviously) but I'd imagine it would be a combination of 'a TV week' and waterloading. The 'TV week' could have even been 2 weeks. Who knows?

One things for sure, it wasn't 20-30lbs of body fat that they lost

Yes, I was much more impressed with the way they dealt with the "old" foods, although I don't think people are at all shocked now seeing the tables laden down with crap!

As I said in my journal, I loved the outcasts training, it looks fun (but hard!), nice to see them doing stuff out of a gym.

It always interests me that the trainers have such different approaches to foods, Kym being "Carbs, protein and fat", Bob being low carbs (espec. at the end of the day) and Jillian simply being calories in, calories out.

Looks like we are getting to watch it 2 hours a week on Friday nights. Suits me fine, I am usually home, and an early night means I have no excuse not to get up early and walk on Saturdays! Yay me!
