Hi Ray and others
I'm glad you like my idea.
Something I did a few years ago was did a virtual Tour de France. Of course it tooke me way more than 3 weeks to cover the total distance (3000 kms???) but I think I made it to the Champs Elyseese (spelling??). It was fun, and was a huge motivator. I made up Excel spreadsheets and graphs.
I was cycling (road bike) a lot back then (sigh). I was so fit and was getting my weight down. The weight piled back on, as it does, plus several extra kg. What puts me off cycling now is that I can't fit into my bike knix and I feel so fat and uncomfortable on my bike. I want to lose 4-5 more kg before I start cycling again.
Lance Armstrong's two books (It's not about the bike; Every second counts) are great too, by the way, for anyone who needs some inner motivation. He fought a tough battle with cancer. His mental toughness and will to survive was astronomical.
