    Skye's Story so far.............

    Smile <img src=" src="/forums/emoticons/emotion-1.gif">Hi Ray,

My name is Skye and im 22yrs old, i had the pleasure of meeting you last Sunday at a friends place, and had a brief chat to you about what i am looking for with my weightloss. So here is the story, well i have to tell you this website is great, ive already had alot of feedback.

ok, my goals are to eventually lose 20 - 25kg by the end of December, as my partner and i are planning on having another baby, thats my long term goal. short term i would like to lose at least 4 - 5kg a month if it eventuated to more a month i would be estattic.

I have tried to lose weight before, going through so many different weight loss programs including, Xenical, Weight watches, Herbalife, Reductil, herbal medication, hypnotherapy, etc, the list just goes on, however after trying all of these programs, i finally found one that worked for me, i cant remember the name of the product but it was from a company called Manatech, and listening to the tapes i became a different person with in the time the tape finished, i used to eat only when my stomach was growling, and only eating enough so i felt comfortable and not full, this worked over a period of 12 months and i lost 18kg.I was walking every day and doing weights every second day. I cant seem to get my head around to motivate myself to do this, and also to create a healthy eating plan with foods that i actually like.

My daughter as you know is 19months old and i havent been able to budge the 20kg that i gained while having her, i know its my lifestyle and eating habits but i am seriously wanting to change my life and for my daughter to benfit from it aswell.

I would be able to exercise at least 5 days a week, i am going to be joining back up with my gym Exercise2 <img src=" src="/forums/emoticons/exercise2.gif"> in the next 2 weeks, once i can get the money to join Smile <img src=" src="/forums/emoticons/emotion-1.gif">. So that will be a bonus as i will have all of the equipment there for me. I will be able to do at least an hour at each session.

My fitness level at the moment is terrible, i smoke about 10 cigarettes a day, but i am planning on quitting once the weight is starting to come off, so i have something else to focus on, for the rest of my life......I do, do some walking about 3 times a week and thats only for about 30 - 1hr but its not really strenuous work.

Im 22 and i weigh 95kg, a weight on which i have never been in my life, before i was pregnant i weighed 70kg, and prior to that i was in my 50 - 55kg, i would love to be at least 60 - 65kg, is this the right weight for my height ???? i am 5 "6.

My Resting heart rate is 69 BPM is this right for my age and height??? and will this go down or up once i start losing weight ??

Thankyou for you time, This is the last time i will be this weight, i will be changing my life as of Now !!!!!

    Thanks,

    Skye

    Re: Skye's Story so far.............

    Hi Skye,

I would like to say congratulations for joining FOH.  The people on this site will help motivate you and give great advice to get you to your ultimate goal weight.  Just remember though that it is a difficult process and that even though you will be exercising and eating healithily, that you wont always lose 4-5kg per month.  Im not trying to put a downer on things, but just realise that in the first months that it is achievable but don't get dissapointed if you don't lose that much. Remember that it didn't take a few months to stack on that weight so in time and dedication you will be achieve the weight loss.

As for the smoking, you know what you need to do.  But I will leave you with this.  My brothers wife was constantly short of breath after a short walk (5mins) to her car after work.  She is around 55-60kg and 40yrs old.  She has now sought medical advice where they told her to cut the cigarettes completely before it really gets worse. My niece who has a 3 month girl lives with them and though she never smoked around the baby (always went outside and once she came back in she would wash her teeth, spray deodorant etc). She knew that this is not good for the baby - so along with the added incentive of health benefits, she's also doing it for her grand daughter - but more for her health.

But I do wish you luck, cuz it wont be easy.

I'd like to start off with LOVE your name!

Welcome to FOH. Its a great place to come and my mum and I get alot out of coming here. I want to lose the same amount as you and I know how you feel.I give up so easily but coming here has helped big time!

As for the smoking, my mum smokes and the doctor has told her she needs to think of stopping smoking. It would be hard but if you want something bad enough you go for it.

    Cheers Kori
