I have several of Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds DVD's: the 1,2 and 3 mile workouts and the Walk and Jog. WATP is a great beginners exercise, but you can also rev it up a bit by adding hand weights or increasing your pace. Essentially all the steps are walking/marching steps - back, forwards, sideways and on the spot. They are low impact workouts, although the ones like Walk and Jog and Walk and Kick are higher impact, there is always someone doing a lower impact version of the workout. I loved these workouts when I first started and was very overweight and unfit. I don't use them much anymore, but would use them if I was recovering from injury or it was the only way to exercise due to weather/kids being sick etc.
Jeanette Jenkins, The Hollywood Trainer: Kickboxing Bootcamp, Cardio Blast. Excellent kickbutt workouts, love both of them, but my all time fave DVD is the Kickboxing Bootcamp. Lots of squats and lunges and intervals with hand weights as well. She gives you reminders about proper form during the movements as well, and every movement is done slowly to start so you can follow what to do. My biggest calorie burn workout according to my Polar HRM.
Billy Blanks TaeBo Cardio: (the Blue cover DVD) Another kickbutt workout, not as long as JJ's Kickboxing DVD, and some people find the counting annoying (personally after a few workouts I found the counting helpful and a point of focus). Lots of fast paced kicking and punching, the moves will take a few tries to get right, especially if you are not familiar with this kind of exercise, but the calories you burn wiht this one make it worth it
