    Biggest Loser Under Fire

This article hit's out at the way the contestants are pushed, and has interviews with Bob, new trainer Michelle.

    http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,21135632-5006022,00.html

Michelle mentions that the health and wellbeing of the contestants is their top priority. Maybe for the trainers (maybe) but not for the producers. Uncomfortable contestants make better viewing and the trainers will have little say in the finished product.

    Re: Biggest Loser Under Fire

    From the article

"Our biggest consideration is to protect everyone in the competition and be completely professional in regards to their medical health," Bridges says.

"Though the work we do is quite intense, it's still within the realms of what they are capable of."

Then why do they have paramedics/ medical staff on hand?

Then why have some of the contestants had a ride in an ambulance?

Is this all just a fake to create drama and help the ratings and the contestants are really finding the workouts a cruise?

How do you find out 100% of what you are capable of until you have done 105% and possibly hurt yourself?

Do the trainers have the resources/skills to be able to tell exactly what each contestant is capable of at any exact time especially if there are several contestants per trainer?

Clearly I can’t know exactly what happened but the information doesn’t seem consistent.

Ray, what's your personal opinion?  Do you think these people are pushed too hard at the start?  They seem to be almost going from no exercise to absolute shock horror psychotic exercising....surely that isn't safe or smart!?

    Yes!

Not safe, not smart, but good TV and that's what they care about. If you guys want to ask more specific questions I'd be happy to answer them in the Chat Room tonight (rather than just post them on here).

I have no doubt that the Aussie trainers would have went in with some concern but unfortunately they'd have little say in what goes on.

Maybe that's the real reason Jillian left the US BL show

    Just a thought.........................
