Re: Airport food............
I thought the Krispy Kremes were a bit over-hyped, but that's a good thing - one less unhealthy food to be tempted by! Hope Chris has safe, uneventful trip. I'm sure the novelty of staying in ahotel will wear off very quickly. In the meantime, business as usual for you. Hope the headache doesn't weaken your ability to confront the munchies.

Re: Airport food............
I found the US made ones were nicer, so I am glad they are not as good here! We got home form the airport, had dinner, and my eldest promptly went and threw up....................... i KNEW he was not right!!!! Either a tummy bug or he is simply sad about Chris leaving, my money is on the latter!
I just packed some lolly bags for the kids (they are off to see Wall E tomorrow with nanna) and found myself munching on a few, hence I am in here in the study, FAR away from the kitchen! The headache is still here and I have not managed Trev thus far. I plan on it in the morning, regardless. I will stay in the study until the kids finish watchng the movie they have on, then will tuck them into bed and head off myself!

Well done, Allie!!!! Great acheivement! LOL! There is a bloody annoying bird that wakes me up every morning at 5am.
This morning I cracked the shits and just got up! SO quietly I made a
cup of tea and now I sit here, browsing FB and the
news............................. If Dh was home i could rug up and go for a walk!!!!
Off to the inlaws for lunch with the kids today, should be nice i
guess! It is wet and windy here this morning, so I hope it might clear
up a LITTLE!!!!! They say shower or two and clearing, not much of the
clearing stuff at this point!
Heard from Chris last night, he arrived safely and had just had lunch
at a french style place,l where teh waiter APPARENTLY tricked him into
a second high alcohol beer...........hmmmmmmmmmmm
Looking forward to a vaguely normal day, andw hen we get back from the
inlaws I will use the TV as a babysitter, becasue I NEED some exercise,
as i ended up with 2 days and none, which I think is doing my head in!

Re: Oh My, who knew I could?
No idea, because I had not planned on jogging so long so did not have the HRM on!!!!! It only took a minute or so of 6kph at the end to feel under control though, which was nice! I really SHOULD wear the bloody thing everytime I get on Trev!

Re: Oh My, who knew I could?
Um, self sabotaging? I am glad you asked though, because I have had my head up my proverbial the past couple of days, which is simply stupid. Cannot even be bothered working out why................ sigh. OK, so I lost a good amount this week. I showed real improvement on the fitness front. And then I fell over myself in my rush to destroy it all with lack of activity and crap food. I cannot work it out, am I rewarding myself in some bizarre way? Am I not sure how i will identify as a thinner person, and thus as progress I bugger it up? Am I lazy?

Re: Oh My, who knew I could?
Did this happen last time Chris was away? What do you think you NEED when you're eating? Is it quick n easy? To feel better? Celebrate? Lengthening your leash on yourself because Chris is away? Damage control tonight should be early to bed with a good rubbishy novel, hey I've got three Marian Keyes books if you can hack it.... Tomorrow is a new day - just do what you normally do, the familiar routines of breakfast, lunch dinner and snacks, what's your exercise to be, etc.

Head out of my...................
youknowwhat.
Sun is shining, and life is moving on! Have given myself a bit of a talking to! And Thanks again Lorna, nice to have had that nudge, and I bet you had NO idea! LOL! What did I work out? I was tired, rewarding myself and also just plain old not bothering. But I also worked out, that there are so many other easy meal/snack options that are healthy, so that is an old habit I lapsed into! On we go!
Today we will be doing some grocery shopping, also looking for a few
birthday gifts for some kids parties, plus pricing
dryers................ Then home to chill and I WILL get on Trev or do
a DVD. I need to!!!! May also take the kids for a walk if they get a
bit feral and time permits.
Still don't know if Chris is coming home Sunday night as originally
planned or if he is jetting over to Italy, I hate not knowing but it is
pretty typical for his work!
Be good everyone!

Reigned myself in brilliantly yesterday, although I did not do ANY
exercise, and it has been a few days now. I am seriously finding it
hard to make the time, and will get back to small blocks of high
intensity for the next couple of days until the kids get back to
school. Feel a bit stupid for not thinking of that earlier, so glad I
was flicking through Ray's book last night!
Had a "moment" too, which I shall share. I was going along nicely, then
I caved and had a few of the cookies the kids had made the day before.
Now, these are evil things, full of butter, lollies and sweetened
condensed milk. I think I had 3, which would be (roughly) a total of
about 350 to 400 calories.................... Anyhow, it seriously
entered my head, "Oh bugger it, I will write off today". I had visions
of ice cream, and more cookies, and god only knows what else dancing in
my head. OH NO! THAT is old thinking at it's worst! So, instead I wrote
down my food, did a calculation, modified dinner and ended up under
1500 calories for the day. So, no too shabby and a definite indication
I am thinking alot more!
Another grey and wet day here, so not alot of excitement! I will take
the kids back to the library this morning, return the mountains of
books they had borrowed. I have a movie here they can watch, I guess if
I turn it up LOUD I could use the chance tonget on Trev! Might also
take them to visit my Mum. Fish and veggies for dinner, and I will make
a big pot of spag bol sauce for the freezer, as the week ahead is
insanely busy!
