    Another Monday!

B: Trifle thing that was not that good! (weetbix, two fruits, jelly and yoghurt)
    MT: apple while shopping
L: 1 sushi roll with tuna, again shopping.
2nd L: back home! Half a vegemite sandwich
    AT: apple
    D: Shephards pie, slice bread
    S: Yoghurt if hungry

Had Parents group at school, LONG and dull! Then went shopping (bumped into Lorna and her GORGEOUS boys!!!!!), got heaps of bits and pieces we needed, nice to be out and about. Back home, and once I get off the PC will do half an hour of straight walking at 6kph on Trev.Yay!

    Tuesday for Trev!

Poor Trev, he thought he would have an easy life! LOL! I have the coolest music (80's) on my MP3 at the moment, can't quite believe I managed to work THAT out, but thanks to a friend it is now on there.

Anyhow, I just did my half hour on Trev. I walked for 3 minutes, then each time the song changed I went from walking at 6kph to running at 7kph. That meant I ran for almost half the time I was on there! NOT fast, but consistently! Average HR was 131. The slower run seems less harsh on my knees, too.

I SO want to push harder, but need to take it a BIT easy for a bit longer. Geez, it feels good though!

    Massage Mayhem!

Had a remedial massage for my back today. HOLY HELL. I have bruises................... I DO have to acknowledge apart from feeling like Ray has set Mundine onto me, it has loosened things up ALOT. I have had pain in my lower back/sacrum area for ever and the chiro has not fixed it. This guys theory is that it is all flat feet related. Oh, and he took one look at me and said, "Gosh, you are crooked!" Apparently one shoulder is lower than the other??? LOL! Back to the feet. Because of the way my feet "fall" I am not using my glutes much at all, and other muscles have been compensating, so that is causing my issues, also why I get hip pain after a long walk (like 8km). He had to do alot of "looseining work" before he can even really work on the actual muscles. Sigh........... And I have to spend alot of time butt clenching until I see him next.

On a lighter note, I had sushi for lunch again! Yummo! BUT I was horrified to see deep fried "crispy" chicken in some of the sushi rolls!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?????????? The guy tells me that they have to make them to bring in some customers! How sad is that???????

    Re: Massage Mayhem!

Bloody Nora.................we really DO underestimate ourselves, don't we?

Just got off Trev, where I walked for 7 minutes, ran for 19 minutes straight, and walked another 4. Blew me away....................... I did it all at one speed, 6kph, so the run was very much low impact, but once I started I decided to keep going, and then only stopped because I am only meant to do half an hour of exercise this week each day! LOL! I averaged a HR of 141, but only turned it on after the first 5 minutes (forgot!!!)

    Re: Massage Mayhem!

I had some remedial massage at one time it is surprising how much looser you can feel afterwards.

    It can hurt though.

    Thursday!

    Certainly it can, Don! LOL!

     Morning all! (nearly afternoon!)

I have been busy this morning! Sent the kids to school, cleaned the kitchen, swept the floors. Took Josh to gateways, had a haircut, did a little shopping and errands, came home, put a rinse in my hair, mopped the floor, put the shopping away, did two loads of folding, rinsed my hair, and am now online! In 20 minutes or so I will get on Trev and watch Dr Phil, just planning a walk today, half an hour............................

Food is OK, but not sure Core works for me, it is really hard ot cook anything but basics as you have to count for sauces, and I use alot of little bits and peices, like sour cream, etc (small amounts) but it means I am findng it hard. Not that I am eating badly, really, just thinking the core thing is not for me.

    Food yesterday!

B: Porridge with a little dried fruit
    MT: nothing
    L: 3 peices sushi
    AT: apple
D: Steak and onion sauce with veggies
S: fruit and yoghurt, SMALL handful nuts

I would have to "count" the nuts, extra fruit, small amount of avaocado in sushi, nori in sushi, and that would add up to more than 3 points I think, yet the actual food was not alot. So, thinking.................

    Hope everyone is kicking ass!

    Re: Thursday!

Howdy Jane.  Yes, I find the core plan is fairly strict to the staple foods, but I'm liking that at the moment.  When I did points, I would waste them on unhealthy choices and starve, then splurge - you know I wasn't using them wisely.  But core means I can have as big a serving as I need of healthy foods only, so it's working quite well as a kickstart that I needed.

Didn't I tell you that the slower you run the better?  That's why I got into liking it!  I could run and keep going for ages, and keep my heartrate up much better than if I walked at the same pace!  How was your knee today?

    Friday!

Hi Lorna, my knee was OK, a little tender (the bad one! not the old good one!) so today I wore a heavy assed brace on the bad one and the lighter brace on the old, good one!

The kids are home for curriculum day today, yay! Nice and slow get up! Having said that, i was up at 7.30am, I am such a morning person! I lay in bed thinking I should sleep in, but pffft. The KIDS took it slower!

Had a yummo brekky of protein Plus cereal with some drained tinned fruit, cleaned up a bit and then onto Trev. Walked 4 minutes at 5kph, then did 10 minutes jogging at 6.5kph, walked 2 minutes at 6, ran 10 minutes at 6, then walked 4 at 5.5kph. Average HR 138. Stretched and ate an apple! Nice....................................

Not sure what we will do for the rest of the day, the kids are all off playing happily, so maybe not much. Alot of colds in this house (not me thankfully!) so a good chance for them to chill and heal.

After all the stuffing aorund with my nan, she is moving into care on the 18th. "Officially", she has vasculuar dementia, and the dr thinks she may have ahd a mini stroke when she fell last, hence the rapid deterioration. She also has Bronchiesctasis, which means she has to cough alot. I am a bit confused as to how that happened, but there you go! so Mum and I have to go shopping for some furniture for her to take, she does not even want to come! It is going to be such a relief to not have her on her own.

    Tuesday

Cold mornings in Melbourne and a 9am check up at the Gyno, hmmmmmmmmmmm, enough said?

Got the go ahed for all activities, unless I feel pain, so yeeha. Went to the gym and handed that in, so my membership clicks back in on Monday, good! I have seriously no time this week, so I am thrilled with that.

Have the dentist at 12.45pm, I am SO lucky........... Hope to have them on time and then I can come home and do something physical before the kids get home. I look after a friends daughter on Tuesdays, so ti will be busier............

Mindset? Working on that. I am being incredibly brave with that, actually. More later.

How romantic you get the go do whatever you like so you go off the gym.  Embarrassed

Good to hear things are progressing.
