Howdy all!
I am having a good day here! Went to school for assembly (Yay me, I can
drive!!!) to see Josh get his UNSW Certificate for Science (He got a
Distinction and was in the top 6 percent of the State, sorry for my
little brag). One of the Mums, upon hearing the Principal mention it
would be a long assembly got me a chair!!!! How sweet! Came home, had
coffee with the nieghbour, made jelly and fruit for the kids dessert,
made pea and ham soup which is cooking now, did some washing, did 15
minutes on the treadmill!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and have just had lunch. Once I
get off line I am having a coffee and reading the paper. Nothing else
to do today, which is good as I am buggered!
B: 3 weetbix, lite milk, 1 tsp sugar
MT: half Peanut Butter sandwich
L: SMALL meat pie
AT: banana, yoghurt
D: Small serve meat pie and veggies, fruit and custard
Yep, two serves of pie! LOL! I am going through the stuff people bought
us while I was sick, and this is the last of the "not so healthy"
stuff, thankfully. I hav been so appreciative though, the fact I could
do so much this morning is simpoly because I KNOW I can rest after
lunch!

Congrats to Josh! Does he have any fields of interest that he's particularly passionate about, you know, like space or bugs or motion? Glad you've got your wheels back - almost as good as new!

Re: Ok, here goes....................
Through your posts, I'm looking at hysterectomies differently. I' hadn't realised how much they knocked you around. I'd assumed they were similiar to a caesarean to recover from, but obviously not! I don't know what percentage of women have hysterectomies but I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with one in the next 10-15 years, I remember my mum having one at about 50. Thanks for the enlightenment, Jane.

Re: Ok, here goes....................
I will suggest that different people will suffer different amounts. Logically a doctor would not recommend an operation unless there is some sort of issue. How much the original issue complicates the patents recovery would depend on lots of things. Really the question is after the healing process is complete dose the people think they are better off? This could be a personal and subjective thing. It seems as you get older it takes longer to recover.

Pondering moving out of the abyss! LOL!
The idea of CORE is
appealing to me, With the 21 points per week, I could have Weetbix and
add a tsp of sugar, or add honey to my oats. I could also use it to
cover extra milk in extra coffees. AND it would cover the occassional
custard fix! Am I sad? But those small things would make my day much
more workable. Just have to watch my portion sizes, and work out things
like points for sachets when I cook using those, too. It appeals to me becaue it is not so fixated on weighing and measuring foods, I seem to get too obsessed with any sort of "numbers". And then I plain old collapse and give up! I need a "shadow" with me, slapping me! LOL!
Not happy that low fat fruit yoghurt does not seem CORE, it only says natural?
I
have looked into meetings, and the one where I would love to go is the
wrong day, but there is another a little further on a Friday morning
which could do. I would mainly be using the meeting as weigh in
accountability though, and to maybe buy a cookbook or two, so not sure
what I will do about that. The one I could get to is not till Friday,
so plenty of time, I guess.
Shopping day tomorrow, so I shall stock up on fruit, veggies, etc.
Figure I may as well give this a decent whack, plus I WILL be upping
the exercise this week, too. I am feeling so much better, just really lethargic and I think thta is alot to do with how little I am moving. The Dr is fine with me kicking it up a notch or two, so no excuse.

This is a bit of a coincidence (and not in a 'Single White Female' kind of way!) but I decided yesterday to go Monday evening to join up WW. I've juggled some things and can justify the money. Just floundering on my own and their program has improved in the many years since I went. I figure its worth a try. The lady who takes the Monday meetings (assuming its still her) was a real wag, and I saw her a couple of months ago on Deal or No Deal - funny! I like to stay for the meetings, although this time might be more difficult with children to juggle - hoping Andy's home by meeting time or else I would have to catch a different meeting in the area later in the week. Anyhow, good luck with it, Jane. Isn't it funny how we were both pondering moving out of the abyss!

GOOD Eerie,Lorna!!!!! I can't do evenings, time and again this has been proven with DH's job. So the Friday meeting in Lilydale looks like the go for me, if I go to a meeting at all. I don't know.......... I have a friend who goes, might get her to get me a points book and a cookbook, and see how I go. Oh, and I got the Spring Into Shape stuff last week, did you? Wonder if I culd be up to it......................

Can I just say...................
YEEEEEEEEEHA!
Just did 30 minutes on Trevor, 6.5 km covered. Included 3 lots of
running (just a minute long each, but my HR got up to 165, which tells
me, yep, out of shape!) and most walking at 6kph.
And? I feel FINE!!!!!! I had a niggly pain at the BACK of my knee (the
one I fell on just before hospital, normally my good knee) which was
weird, but it has been on and off painful (always behind the knee,
which is weird) since the fall. Everything else felt great!
I actually sweated......................... Bloody marvelous.

Re: Can I just say...................
Don't say that Raymond! LOL! I had not intended to do so much, I got a little carried away............ I don't run nowadays due to the knee, but occassionaly I like to see what happens to the HR! It is hard, the line between getting lazy and not doing too much is a fine one!
