Hey there just wanted to drop by and let you know how great your doing...im sure you will be down to 90kilos very soon! Keep up the great work!!! Its hard having to even think about buying new clothes especially when you know that you wont be in them for long as your progressing into the new you and like you said your old size 12s are as good as new but we all do need something in the meantime...Even if its a few cheaper items i hope you had success in purchasing the top and jeans something at least to keep your warmer as the weather has dropped and has gone cooler!

Have a great weekend and keep moving in the right direction!

    Re: Melonhead

keep it up though! every day when you have a win is still a step in the right direction!
i must say i am really loving my extended walks now! and to think i used to be averse to a walk around the block! LOL yesterday i did my usual walk around the lake, but on the way there, there's a hill - well i walked to the end of the street down the hill, turned around walked back up the hill, across to the next block, down the hill then back up and then down to the lake! anyone watching would have thought i was mad LOL! but boy did it work! yay!

so keep on track! 20 minutes a day is better than nothing at all!
    luv kaz xx

    Help

Had a computer breakdown of sorts and lost a couple of hardrives worth of stuff but I am back.

Lifes great for me on every level except my health and self esteem. My husband made his first ever fat comment in a fight yesterday and I am shattered nd unable to even go and do my volunteer work because I am now so self conscious. I do not condone wallowing and I wont allow myself to partake in a pity party for too long but I am allowing myself today while the house is empty to recover as I was really shattered. i just feel revolting and repulsive now. beauty may be from with but seriously, i would rather be beautiful on the outside.

oh well, feel free to kick me out of this please. self pity does not burn calories.

    wallowing ends here lol

    Re: Helping myself

    Day 1

brought in and assebled 3 beds, furniture and repacks cupboard and draws in 2 rooms. I reckon thats a workout. Muscles are telling me so

ate brilliantly all day. first day after falling off the wagon is always the tuffest. all that withdrawing from sugar. fuel by anger, helped immensely to acheive such a goal hehe

    Day 2

treadmill for 10 minutes on level 1 (P-5) GOOD GRIEF.this is a setting for obese people. well maybe an athletic obese person. walk walk walk at 6klm/hr, easy enuff, bit of a struggle but i have moved treadmill to family room so i can watch tv or look directly into garden and see pond and birds etc.

watching that booring morning show that replaced Bert newton then WHAM 7klm/hr, did that for 1 minute then adjusted back to 6, lungs burning a bit. did that for 2 minutes the WHAM 8klm/hr. did that for 30 seconds. OMG couldnt do it so made it go back to 6klm then it went back to 3klm an hour on its own then WHAM 9 k i l o m e t e r s p e r h o u r

I dont even think i can ride a bike that fasr. I made it to 29 seconds and hit the kill switch, ran to the tap and guzzled 2 glasses of water to releive the panting and dizziness.

damn those athletic obese people settings. think i will have to search for a setting that says" can barely jog let a lone run type obese"setting.

i like my set up though. treadmill has a good spot now. cept i have to mow my lawn now that i have to see it on a daily basis.

wow, cant beleive i even ran for 29 second lols. omg i can run i CAN run.

LATER got on the treadmill again and foind the really unfit obese program button. thatnk god it was too slow so i had to up the speed . 30 minutes 2.47 klm and my attention span lasted. woot

EVENING. Second day in a row food intake 1200. tomorrow will be a 1400 day, gotta eat red meat to ward off anaemia so im having beef. very successful day. now to get some semblance of my self esteem back.....

    Re: Helping myself

Got up and did some exercises listed on the site so ended up having a little work out. im so unfit.

knees hurt doing the squats but thats to be expected and thats why i need to do the squats.

i can do push ups any more to save my life, i just feel so damn heavy.

carb intake is still too high and i am finding it hard to keep it at csiro recommended range of 36%. my cupboard needs to be restocked with lower carb stuff altho with 4 kids ,a hubby and a mortgage its hard to veer away from staples whuch are high carb foods because like most people i am on a tight budget. thought i would be clever and have an egg fro breaky, pffft no eggs lol thats a first for me. always got eggs, so off to the shop i go.

    Re: Helping myself

did my usual binge on the weekend. just havent been able to crach 7 days without binging. i have an addictive personally and this is so hard. eating great again of copurse because its a weekday. i just have to give the weekend carbs a shove, theyre my replacement for smokes and theyre just as deadly. these binges are what hold me back and i havent admitted this before about the binging but i am a binge eater for sure since i quit the smokes.

oh well i have a newsletter to write

my goals for this week are to walk my son home from kindeer instead of driving on thursday and to walk to my other sons play at his school on friday  instead of driving as theyre less that 2 kilometers away. as well as 2 days on treadmill for 30 mins minimum and 3 days of exercises i have copied from rays lists. the knee one Ray suggested really is working to strengthen my knees and i have more mobility. i only found out by accident when i was crawling around on the floor cutting patterns etc and the next day i was like " WHAT THE???" i didnt even realize i was sitting on my knees and stuff lol. THANKS RAY. that was great advice. just a simple squat does so much

    anyhow im off.

    Re: Helping myself

Hi Melonhead.I'm glad you didn't let your husband's comment take you off track too far. I'd like to give him a big talking too...and it wouldn't be too kind...but anyway!Super Angry [8o|]

Remember you are doing this for YOU...so be successful, despite him and any other comments you may hear from family members.

Perhaps plan your meals and snacks for the week if you find the bingeing a problem. Make sure you drink lots of water and eat fruit/nuts for snacks so you don't get too hungry and be tempted to binge. What about sugar free gum for that chewing action to replace the ciggies!?

Re-the treadmill.Don't worry too much about jogging.Just concentrate on walking and increasing the speed as you get fitter.

    Have a great week:)
