    Nikki's Story

Well i'm 30 years old... have 3 children 2 boys and 1 girl.....My weight all started when i was pregnant aged 22  with my first which is fine as we all gain weight when pregnant....but didn't have much time to loose the extra after the birth, being tired and a new mum, just didn't have the energy either....then i fell pregnant 4 months later and hit the 96 kilo mark...I manage to loose quite a lot of weight after the 2nd one. (down to 70 kilos)..maybe had something to do with having 2 very young children.....i felt great....over the next few years it very slowley creeped back on....my girlfriends and I started walking every night was doing really well....THEN.....i fell pregnant for the 3rd time and i was quite sick for the first month or so...SO i gave up walking...the worst thing i have ever done in my life i think. I topped the scales at 106 kilos by the time i gave birth, mind you my baby girl was born 10pound2......I needed a blood transfusion the next day....   So my pattern is 68 k's up to 96k's down to 70k's up 106k's now sitting at 90k's.

My sister is now pregnat ( shes so petite ) and i told her to promise me to walk a little every day as now my bottom left leg is covered with varicous veins, and looks absoulutly horrible.  Even when i do loose all my weight i still won't be able to wear excactly what i would like.  But i'm looking forward to having so much more energy.

    Take care all

    Nikki

    Re: Nikki's Story

Hi Nikki, Don't you just hate it when the weight yo yos like that! I have had the same problem and probably always will. I can never let up. My new lifestyle plan means just that - for life. I hope you and your sister can continue with the walks. Sounds like it has worked for you in the past and will again. As for varicos veins. I think they can be easily removed with surgery if they get too bad and there are special stockings that you can wear. Its possible though that continued weight loss will help to alleviate them too- not sure.
