    Hi Deb,

I'm new to this myself, I've been going for only 4 weeks now and lost only 2kg.

My stats are similar to yours.  I am a little older, I'm 29 but I too am married with 3 kids.

I'm 153cm tall, My weight got up to 85kg but i managed to lose 10kg on my own.  My goal weight is also 60kg.  I came on here to gain motivation and get help to lose the last 15kg or so.

    Good Luck with everything

    Take Care, Anna

hey anna, wow its weird having someone so close eith everything but so good as well, what does your food and exercise plan look like? i cant wait to get this weight off, ive got my dvd to do tonight as i realised today that the kids have misplaced my safety key to my treadmill and wont work without it, not a happy mummy tonight grrr hehe. congrats on the 10kgs lost and gone. My main reason to get on top of my weight is im hoping to fall preg in dec08/jan09 and would love to be around 60kgs for it instead of starting 70kg+ like i have with my 3 kids now. anyway hope to speak soon, cheers

Re: back and ready to get the body i deserve

    Hi Deb,

You wanted me to let you know what I've been doing.

Well, exercise ..... I try to do some form of cardio exercise every day like walking down the street (about an hour) or getting on the exercise bike.  Every second day or sometimes third day I do a mini circuit of 10 minutes on my elliptical, some weights for my arms and 10 minutes on my exercise bike.  Sometimes I do each for a little longer than that, depends how I'm feeling.  I also ride my pushbike to work most days or walk to work.  And of course running around and playing with the kids occasionally helps out too LOL!!!

Now my eating ..... I work full time so I take all my own food to work with me.  For breakfast I might have multi grain toast with vegemite and low fat cheese or fruit toast just with a little light butter.  Sometimes I have cereal like corn flakes or weetbix with fruit and low fat milk. and I always allow myself one cup of coffee a day with milk and sugar for breakfast but its water or diet drinks for the rest of the day.

Lunch might be a tuna salad or salad sandwich on multi grain bread.  I do try to only have 2 slices of bread a day so if I have it for breaky I avoid it for lunch.  Dinner I try to cook as low fat as I can and hopefully with vegetables.  Grill meat instead of frying it, choose lean cuts etc etc, obvious really.  I work night shift so I cook low fat meals in advance and freeze them to take with me.  Just makes it easier so I don't have to cook a new meal every day.

Snacks I eat alot of fruit.  I eat every 2 hours at work (in every break) so I try to have fruit for every break and 1 other thing.  Sometimes I have fruit and yoghurt mixed together or a piece of fruit and something else.  Rice crackers or a weight watchers bar of some sort.  I buy alot of weight watchers snacks, they have fruit bars/muffins or bickys/tarts.  I like these kinds of snacks but I only have a small serving when I do have them.  Also I found it very useful to have all my snacks ready in serving size packs and keep them in a container away from the kids snacks so when I want something I go to my container instead of the cupboard, it takes away the temptation.

I hope this has been helpful to you.  And to everyone else, if you can see where I might be able to improve on this please don't hesitate to kick me in the butt LOL!!!

    Take Care
