    Fernwood

Anyone a member of Fernwood?  I am not crazy about women only gyms, but I think it may be my best, non-threatening option for exercise at present.  And a lady who i met whilst in hospital swears by them.

Any info would be greatly appreciated before I decide to take the plunge and sign up.

    Re: Fernwood

I used to be, but that was when I had too many children at home so I stopped going, I loved the Les Mills classes, as usual. I hated the all female staff. Women make me feel threatened more than men at a gym! LMAO! LOVED the fact I could get there at 6am, do an hours workout, have a shower, dress eat my brekky (they have it there free) and come home just as Dh left for work. (shame he leaves much earlier nowadays!) I also hated the fact it cost so much!

    Caution: Sarcastic and Cynical!!!

    Re: Fernwood

I will suggest that the different gyms would be run by different owners so just because one is good doesn’t mean they all will be good.

Equally just because I is bad doesn’t mean they all will be bad.

Clearly if you can get a sort term membership it will reduce the risk and give you a good chance to see if they fit in with what you want.

Clearly I am not in the target market for fernwood.
