Hello Lorna! do you have 2 prams by any chance? I am happy to meet up and push one for you! Even if it is only once a fortnight it can be helpful!

    Re: Just keep going

Thanks, Jane.  I usually have either a Thurs or Fri morning free.  The toddler seat has been accepted and he enjoys it.  He says 'good morning' to people whereas six months ago he would have collapsed screaming if someone made eye contact with him.  I have to look back to see how far forward we've come.

Started toilet training yesterday because he was refusing the nappy and hated nappy changes but hated a wet nappy.  It's only been one day and I'll give him a few more days to get the swing of it, but I could've pulled the pin about three times and just stuck on a nappy.  It'll help him to grow and develop though if we get it right.  So not going out with him much next week.

Last Auskick clinic this morning - have to avoid the party pies and sausages.

    Re: Just keep going

I managed to dodge the hot food because I was sitting in the car breastfeeding Liam and the kids woofed it all down.  As soon as we got home, I had a tin of hot veg soup and a little later a peanut butter sandwich.

Toilet-training - there's definite benefits to doing it which outweighs returning to nappies.  We have EI in the morning and I'll take 3 changes of bottoms and a pull-up (to use in case if in an hour he goes through three lots of clothing).

Did I say we have storyboarding pictures now?  I show him the picture of what we're going to do next and once it's done, he pulls it off (velcro on the back) and puts it in a 'finished' envelope.  That's been really good for transitions between one thing to the next, much of the resistance is diffused, just by showing him a picture rather than saying it to him.  Quite impressed.

    Re: Just keep going

Yay, lost 1.1kgs.  Aiming for 1 kilo this week again, no reason why I shouldn't be able to lose that.  My goal this week is to get 90 minues exercise.

    Re: Just keep going

I made a great purchase on ebay and we've got a 6 seat extendable dining table now, it's fantastic.  We had like a cafe table before but the family's outgrown that! Lol.  anyway, the neighbour's wife works at Cadbury and he brought over some sugared jelly rings and a block of dark chocolate, which after two rows I told Andy he has to take it out in the truck with him as he's more controlled about snacking that I am.  Nice, but good riddance.  The chocolate, not Andy. Lol.

    Re: Just keep going

My goal this week was to exercise 90 minutes.  I'd done 15mins on the bike, walked to and from school twice, so that's an hour, and I've just done 45mins on the tready - so that's two hours I've done.

45mins on tready varying the speed and incline.  avg HR 116, max HR 142, cals 301.

Still aiming for a kilo off tomorrow night

    Re: Just keep going

Lost 200 grams, but a significant 200 grams because it took me from 100.1kgs to 99.9gs Smile

So that's okay and we look onto next week and I think I'll aim for the one kilo again as I think it's achievable.  I want two hours of exercise again and with the weather warming up, I should be able to...did you realise that daylight savings is four short weeks away?

    Re: Just keep going

Just been to the shops and walked past the takeaway food smells about three times and didn't want it even though I was hungry.  Came home, put baby to bed and made myself a really good tuna salad with mesclun leaves, red onion and a tomato, some dressing - it was nice.  Now I'm having a banana sandwich (haven't had one of those for longest time) and cuppa tea.  Next, I'm digging up some clothes to donate.

Productive, nice to see! well done on the loss, too Lorna! When the take away smells invade, I remind myself it is the fat and salt I am mainly smelling, seems to help! LOL!

    Re: Just keep going

So the exercise this week was two trips to school and back, that's an hour. One 30min stint on the tready, and yesterday walking up and down our court with the pram for about 20mins.

I lost 0.6kgs (yay).  Goal this week is to use the tracker in the book as I've been planning to use the one on the website but can't get to the computer frequently enough and end up letting it slide.  I'll also tick off the food groups, to be sure.  Exercise goal is for three lots of 30mins exercise AND two lots of strengthening/stretching exercises (I'm really stiff).
