    Exercise tips...

Hey guys any tips on exercise to do at work?? I work in a servo and would probably look a bit silly jogging on the spot but some days I really don't get time to do any exercise outside work...

    Any ideas??

    Jac

Do laps of the shop, just on the inside. You should be able to get plenty of incidental exercise in!

Wall push ups? Chair dips (use the counter if the chair is too low?)? Squats and lunges?

    Caution: Sarcastic and Cynical!!!

It has been suggested you can do pelvic floor exercises anywhere while this may not be the greatest for loosing weight at least it is something.

    Re: Exercise tips...

I personally feel that you just need to schedule your time maybe a little better. Realistically there is not much you can do within the service station and even if you can do some exercises, when customers come in it will break your workout routine and put your heart rate back to resting state. When setting your workouts just be a little more realistic, if you can only train twice a week then just give those two workouts your week the best you can. Rather than doing 4 small workouts where your not really getting a full workout, just two but ensure that you push yourself to your limit. We all need to establish routines and if you can maintain at least two workouts a week then im sure once they become a bit more routine you may be able to slip in another workout. You should look into investing your money into some home fitness equipment if you need to save time. I have always find having the equipment in home means you can really train any time possible. You dont need to buy the most expensive equipment but rather start small. Even purchasing a pair of dumbells and using some ingenious ideas will see you completing a huge array of exercises. If you cant afford a treadmill or a home gym then just buy some bars and weights. Mixed in with some running and skipping, will get you off to a great start!

Why don't you try to exercise every morning before you get to work?

You can seat up in the morning before going at work. Or you could try long walk to go to the office. I've been doing that for about a month. And I feel good.

    • Choose exercises that you enjoy doing. You'll be more inclined to stick with a fitness regimen when it includes things you like to do.
    • Change your fitness routine every 4-6 weeks to prevent a workout plateau.
    • Whenever possible, take the stairs instead of an elevator.
