Or has the whole Gary gaining weight thing annoyed anyone else? I think he should be stripped of his immunity and be put up for elimination. After all, isn't that meant to happen under normal circumstances?

And I am still smarting over the fact they pandered to Cosi and let him chat to his stepson! The other people in there did not get to chat to home! Why is HE so special? Because he gets good ratings?

LOL -when I saw the post title and your name , Jane, I was just going to go and type "Yes" without reading it !!!

But, seriously....that's exactly what hubby said - we thought they'd made  some sort of rule re putting on weight, like loss of immunity, so he SHOULD have lost it. A guy that big would have to have gone on a bit of a binge, or really slacked off with the exercise, to actually have put ON weight, wouldn't he ? I think he did get a shock, though - I think he was probably hoping for a 100g loss, or something like that.  Oh, well, looks like it's probably bye- bye Bryce. He looks great already, I reckon he'll just kep going great guns on "the outside".

 

As for Cosi - yep, any chance of a tear fest, and the producers jump on it! Does seem a little, unfair, though, to reward a lapse in will power/concentration/whatever you want to call it. I'm sure Alison would have loved a chance to talk to her kids! I wonder if the other contestants actually knew about it, though........???  Alison

Acutally i found the whole thing disgusting.

I cannot STAND Gary. I think he's got a revolting, mean and nasty nature about him. Call it a sense. I could be wrong but meh. I don't care.  I would have thought the "rules" of the show meant that DESPITE the stupid "twist" thing, the fact that he gained weight should have instantly forfeited his immunity & therefore the ability to use the "twist". Which would have put him under the yellow line. Which would have sent him packing.

However, in all it's unpredictable ridiculousness, lack of coherency, lack of consistent ethics, clear rules and reason, the producers of The Biggest Farce have yet again manipulated the contenders and the viewers and this shows nothing but a blatant lack of respect for either group.

Anyway, it's just entertainment. And i'm no longer interested in the rubbish they've turned the show into. Clap Clap channel 10. You've made a hash of it big time.

I've never liked Garry or Cosi! Snakes in the grass! I'm in 2 minds about whether or not his gain was deliberate.

I don't think he has *really* learned alot about himself in the house (Garry I mean)

When he goes back home to his Mummy...will he fall back into old habits? I can see him piling it all back on! Who still lives with their Mummy at his age anyway!?

 Re Cosi's phonecall to his stepson? Apparently is was because the son was sooooo upset about not being able to see him at the makeover?? I was really annoyed about that as I thought...welll whoopeee,what about everyone else!?

Perhaps Cosi threatened to walk out I am thinking!??? And well...Ch10 would hate that wouldn't they!?

I think the only real geniune ppl in the house are Kristen , Sam and Alison atm and unfortunately I don't think Sam makes it much further (Shhhh),though I did cringe when Kristen told Garry that he better not write HER name on the card at elimination and I thought Oooooo, is that allowed!!?

Yes, this show is really giving me the irits atm too!..and another thing Ch10!! FFS..when you come back after each (very regular ad break)...do we have to then repeat the previous scene AGAIN!!!

I thought the putting on weight rule applied too..

and like Cosi said if it were me, I would have put about 5 kilo on, heaps of water, salt and carbs before weigh in, give a free pass for  the next 2 weeks

 

would have been funny if it were Kirstan who put on the weight tho...

 

 

Assuming Gary water loaded after all it is part of the game it seems.

 

If he hadn’t he may have lost enough weight to stay above Kirsten’s genuine effort.

 

There would have been no change to this weeks results.

 

Next week if he has water loaded he will have a free ride assuming he puts in a moderate effort.

That could be because in the Real World, Garry is a bank manager!!!!!

And he did give a bit of a clue that he water-loaded. He so much as said that it was the perfect opportunity to get rid of a rival -- i.e. Kirsten.

I was listening to SAFM as Cosi is back on air.

Cosi said that Gary pigged out on food leading up to the weight in.

 Cosi also admitted that one day he snuck into an office and tried to make a phone call to his step son for his 8th birthday, but when he got there he couldn't remember his partners mobile number and ended up trying to ring his mum who didn't answer the phone at the time.   Later his mum saw 2 missed calls on her mobile and rang back the number and Cosi got busted.  Not sure if that was before or after he was allowed to talk to him.

It seems to me that he was effectively told to go water load. Given that the he was swapping his weight with another contestant, the no weight increase rule was given the day off, it was effectively choose a contestant for elimination. Meanwhile, we'll spice the show up again by bringing up the water loading issue which is cleary being missed by the producers xx sorry the viewing public.

What I found really interesting, was that Cosi went on his so called binge (with the cameras present of course) and still lost the most weight - is this a message for the masses?

I'm begining to suspect that the show is totally scripted, contestants as well.

My prediction for the coming weeks: JJ will return and be exposed as The Mole, and AJ is clearly hiding two more contestants up her skirt who will enter the show at the finale,  weigh in at a combined weight of 12 KG, thus taking out the 2008 title.

It's an old world out there and I'm glad I was part of it!

It was not fair but then again what is in the white house unless you are on the red team!

I dont understand why Cosi's preggo (isnt that what he says) girlfriend couldnt bring the

step son Harry...Kirsten had her mum and dad there and so did Sam, unless they wanted to dramatise

the whole situation and as for Michelle shes always doing Cosi favours complimenting him all the time

about his weight loss and how good he looks etc..Michelle should remember back to when she first

started training My sister is also a personal trainer and has trained with her and on some of her workout

vidoes/dvds she is nowhere near as toned as what she is now so you can see she has been doing a lot

of work with 'her personal trainer'....I believe the compliments should be evenly given out..this lot of contestants

all look great and have lost more weight then any other Biggest Loser show and from what i can see by the time

most of them are arriving home they are on the doorstep of their goal weight!

As for Gary well he should have been sent packing..... remember back to when Wal came back he  was sent

 straight back home when they scales showed that he had gained weight and even when Fiona put on weight

they were all told weight gain no immunity!

I agree with Bob when he said how surprised he was to see Gary still there as he should have been voted

off long ago but thanks to the RED alliance and Cosi's need to have someone in his shadow to help him

move up the ranks and he totally went against his voting measures last night as his voting is business

well if it was business and he was voting because of Threat and weight loss..Bryce would still be in the

house because number 2 on the weight loss chart is Kirsten and with that i will say i hope she

continues to be 'the enforcer' and enforces him right out of the show when he least expects it!

Apparently next week there's a few contestants leave and two eliminated contestants get to come back after a competition - source TV Week.

Eeriest Garry thing - how he loves Nicola like a 'little sister', but I sensed a different kind of love...or maybe that's the norm with sisters where he's from.  Actually Garry's alright, I prefer him to Cosi's sense of karma justice.

YES!!!! Every time Cosi says that I absolutely cringe and think a) you really could do with some elocution lessons , and b) do you not think about how this is going to sound on national television????????? And the man makes a living from radio announcing!!!

I have a feeling that Garry may lose the Hawaii challenge and be royally booted off the Island and the show !!! What goes around comes around.....???!!! We'll soon see, I guess! Alison
