Who Is Winning Your Internal Struggle?

I've just posted about this on my blog but wanted to mention it here as well.

I came across this story the other day and just thought it explains it best:

An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them...

“A fight is going on inside me... it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

This same fight is going on inside you and every other person, too.”

They thought about this for a minute, and then one child asked his grandfather... “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied... “The one you feed.”

Hmmmm, wished I'd read that about 4 hours ago.....Sad

I had my after workout protein drink, dinner, some fruit, a little snack, another "little snack" and then polished off a Christmas stocking full of chocolate.

There goes my calorie allotment for the day!

Hi Nathan, and Welcome to FOH! How was the sugar rush after eating the chocolate stocking? Ive been reading your replies on here very informative "cheers" looking at your bodybuilding background reminds me of the days my brothers used to compete, the regimented routines of protein shakes, chicken breast, eggs, liver tablets and all the farting that went with it LOL,

Whats been working for me is not depriving myself totally and having a small taste of say chocolate or  corn chips then the cravings gone over with, but since working out at the gym I tend to go to the fruit shop down stairs from the gym and grab some nectarines or peaches and that does the trick. Its all about retraining your behaviours.

Well off to xmas clean, cheers Chez xoxo
