What I am really trying to say is life is about choices.
Many people can’t find time to exercise regularly but they can find time for watching TV regularly (aren’t soap operas a time dump).
Many people can’t afford basic equipment to exercise but they can afford to go out to a restaurant.
Certainly there are some things in most of our lives that are long term commitments that can’t easily be substituted for something else.
At what stage you put me first is a very personal thing but eventually if you don’t make some time for yourself you will have no time for yourself.
Personally I felt guilty and selfish the first few times I put me first but if it is only a few hours a week is it unreasonable?
There may even be an argument that time taken to look after my health is likely to extend my healthy life and so I am more likely to be available to them in the future.
The original comment about the “celebrity trainer” was more a statement about how people who are after a cheap budget fitness program are unlikely to have $100 per hour personal training sessions.
I would imagine that $100 for Kate Ritchie is a smaller part of her disposable income compared to many people on this forum.
