Jane claws her way up from the drain..........

    Embarrassed

So, I reckon I am starting the New Year in the vicinity of about 98kgs. OUCH.  BIG jump, maybe even a five kilo LEAP up over the past however long. Starting anew, yet again.

No more excuses. They get me nowhere!!!!!

Just got back from a holiday in the bush, on a Gypsy wagon, travelling through the Otway Ranges in Victoria. I did a BIT of walking alongside the wagon, even a couple of LITTLE runs (sorry to the Knee Doc!), too. I felt like crap moving though, which was horrifying to discover. I CANNOT let the fitness slip altogether, no wonder my mind has been stuck on pause.....

Aims for this year are simple. Full accountability, 30 to 60 mins exercise 5 times a week, and eating 3 small, healthy meals and 2 medium healthy snacks each day, with ONE meal over the weekend that can be a bit slack. I figure I can do that!!!

Excercise I have available to me: Gym membership, walking the local area, 2 TBL exercise DVD's, Treadmill, WATP DVD's, Yoga DVD's, and playing with the kids. There is no room in there for "I haven't got time to................." is there? Even if the kids are all sick I can fit in half an hour of walking in the loungeroom between puke duty!

I apologise for vanishing, but I am BACK!!!! I will report back with a weight and my measurements tomorrow!

Welcome back Jane, I was a bit slack towards the end of last year as well, so you're not alone there! Smile Good on you for stepping back in, it's much better than the alternative!

Re: Jane claws her way up from the drain..........

Good for you, Jane.  I fell by the wayside a bit towards the end of last year.  Wasn't walking enough, fell prey to Christnmas chocolates etc.  I'm starting the year at 104.  I worked out (in my spreadsheet) that if I can lose 0.15 kgs (150 grams) perday I will reach 63 kgs by Spetember, which is 2 years from my start.  I'm going to give it my best shot.  150gms doesn't sound like much, does it?

I am very busy, doing all the washing after going away, but am eating realy well thus far, Cereal and Bran for brekky, almonds for a snack, and heaps of housework to keep me moving! I will be squeezing in a "formal" exercise session later, no more using "I have done SO much cleaning" as an excuse to skip it!

I wish it was hot- this time last year in Brissie we were struggling in near 40 degree heat- this year we're lucky if it gets up to 26.  Has been far too mild & I'm not getting nearly sweaty enough.

Re: Saturday, ENOUGH of the heat!!!

Yes, it's been hard to sleep too, in the heat.  Muggy and we wait for the rain, and wait, and wait, and WAIT.....surely, soon!

Persistence pays off, that's what they say - I'd say persistence owes you for sure because you keep at it!

Have fun at the Island - sand walks and deep water walks (great for your creaky bits!) Go scare those fish/penguins!
