The Biggest Loser 2 - Week 4

"Temptation Week"

This week sees our losers going to the ultimate city of temptation, Las Vegas! They are each staying in mega-suites so let's hope they don't get too comfortable.

The first thing I notice when they arrive is that Seth is the only one wearing the shirt with his motivation on it. Could this be a sign? Could it be that Seth is the most motivated?

Well they go out for a meal at Planet Hollywood and everyone eats well. It's Matt's birthday so he gets given a cake the size of a fingernail (it even has a candle on it!). They all go to the casino, some win some lose.

Each of the trainers show their team how they can still train in their room, even with no equipment. Most of the exercises can be found at: Body Weight Exercises

The Tempation

The tempation this week sees our losers given the opportunity to win cash. There is a stack of cards and each has an amount between $1 and $5000. Whichever you choose you get to keep. The catch is, if you want to play the game you must give up using your trainer for the rest of the week.

Both groups agree that whoever chooses to go for the cash will not be judged. Matt even offers to train any of his team mates that choose to go for it.

Seth, Mark, Shannon, Suzanne, and Jen go for it, and each come out winners. The amount they win are Seth: $1000, Mark: $2500, Shannon: $1000, Suzanne: $2500, Jen: $1000.

They are then given another surprise. They can now go double or nothing. Only Shannon and Suzanne do it, and they both win!

When they all get back and tell the trainers what had happened, Bob and Jillian are livid. Though, as always Bob is philosophical about it and gets over it fast

The women are at it again. Fighting, blaming, complaining, they are at each others throats. The men on the other hand are very focussed, and keen to continue working as a team.

The Challenge

Our losers walk out to the pool and see a large set of scales with flashing lights: the mind boggles!

They are then told that the winners will be able to come back to the resort and stay in 2006 and their partners can come with them.

The challenge goes like this: Each person has a mat on the bottom of the pool with their name on it. On that mat is a stack of gold bars. The stack adds up to the person's body weight. They must get in the pool one-by-one (relay) and gets all their gold bars onto the scale.

Well this one has to favor the men as they are taller than the women so can walk through the water easier. On the other hand they must move more gold bars.

They men take an early lead but the women soon catch up. It's down to the last 2: Seth and Ryan.

The men win!

Matt stays true to his word and is completing  his training with Jillian, then going to the gym with the 'gamblers' and training them. In a true sign of the character of Matt, he also offers to train Jen.

The Weigh In

Because the men won the challenge they get to choose which of the women's score won't go towards their total. After seeing how hard Jen was training the choice was easy. It proved right with Jen losing 10lbs!

The weight loss scores are:

The Red Team

Jen: 234

Ryan: 195

Shannon: 229

Suzy: 196

Suzanne: 199

Andrea: 198

The Blue Team

Jeff: 326

Mark: 308

Matt: 290

Seth: 250

Pete: 340

The Blue team wins!

Voting

Jen was the biggest loser from the red team this week so she has immunity. Each of the girls say who they are voting for and it's easy to see that there is division between the 'gamblers' and the 'non-gamblers'. The final vote goes to Suzanne.

It's a tie between Ryan and Shannon!

Becaus it's a tie, the blue team get to vote anyone they want off the red team.

Ryan is voted off!

Ryan Now

They show Ryan now and she looks great! She's lost loads of weight and seems very happy.
