The Pelvic (Hip) Girdle

The Pelvic Girdle consists of two Coxal bones or ‘Os Coxae’. Collectively they are known as Co-Coxal. Each of these attach to the Sacrum, then they meet at the front. Each coxal bone has three regions: the Ilium, Ishium, and Pubis. Another important part of the coxal bone is the Acetabulum, which is where the Femur connects to form the hip joint.

E. Sacrum

F. Iliac Crest

G. Iliac Fossa 

H. Pelvic Brim

I. Ischial Spine

J. Acetabulum

K. Pubic Crest
